Rules of Entry Full Version

RULES OF ENTRY

1. Eligibility

The TravelPlus Airline Amenity Awards are open globally to airlines operating scheduled and non-scheduled services, internationally or domestically, as well as private jet operators, organisations, suppliers, manufacturers, brands and designers involved in the development or provision of airline passenger amenities.

Entries may be submitted by an airline, supplier, designer, brand or other organisation directly involved in the product or programme. Where a product has been developed as a collaboration between two or more organisations, the entry may be submitted jointly or by one of the participating organisations with the agreement of the other parties.

2. Eligible Entry Period

Entries must be, or have been, available and provided to passengers between 1 January 2025 and 28 February 2027.

Products or programmes that were available only on selected flights, routes, aircraft or cabins during this period remain eligible.

Every entry must clearly state the date on which the product or programme was first made available onboard.

Products that were not available to passengers during the eligible period will not qualify unless the relevant Award category specifically states otherwise.

3. Entry Categories

An entry must meet the published criteria of the category in which it is submitted.

An amenity product may be entered into more than one category where it genuinely meets the requirements of each category. A separate entry form and entry fee must be submitted for every category entered.

Where an airline provides different amenity kits or bags for outbound and inbound journeys, these must be submitted as separate entries, provided they are materially different products.

TravelPlus reserves the right to move an entry to a more appropriate category where it considers that the product has been entered incorrectly, subject to the entry meeting the criteria of the alternative category.

4. Entry Information

Entrants are responsible for ensuring that all information supplied is accurate, complete and sufficiently detailed for the entry to be assessed.

Entry forms should provide, where applicable:

  • Airline or operator
  • Supplier, designer or brand
  • Cabin or passenger class
  • Date first available onboard
  • Product description
  • Key features and benefits
  • Design and development information
  • Relevant brand or collaboration information
  • Supporting photographs or other material requested by TravelPlus.

TravelPlus may contact an entrant to request clarification or additional information where this is considered necessary for judging.

5. Physical Samples

Where TravelPlus requests a physical sample for judging, the entrant must provide the required sample or samples by the specified deadline. Samples should be representative of the product that was, or is being, provided to passengers.

All samples should be clearly identified with the entrant's name, product name and category.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, TravelPlus cannot guarantee the return of submitted samples. Entrants are responsible for ensuring that samples are suitably packaged and delivered to the address provided by TravelPlus.

6. Entry Fees

All entry fees must be received in full before the official closing date.

TravelPlus reserves the right to withdraw an entry from the competition if the applicable entry fee has not been received by the closing date.

Entry fees are payable for each category entered. Where the same product is entered into multiple categories, a separate entry fee applies to each entry.

7. Independence & Conflicts of Interest

TravelPlus is committed to maintaining an independent and impartial judging process.

Judges and focus-group participants will be selected independently and will be required to declare any actual or potential conflict of interest.

A judge or participant will not assess an entry where there is a direct professional, commercial or other conflict that could reasonably affect, or appear to affect, impartiality.

Where appropriate, TravelPlus may reallocate an entry or judge in order to maintain the integrity of the judging process.

The identity and composition of individual passenger focus groups will remain confidential.

8. Judging Decisions

Entries will be assessed against the published criteria applicable to their category.

The decision of the TravelPlus judging process is final. TravelPlus will not enter into correspondence regarding individual scores, rankings, deliberations or judging decisions.

TravelPlus reserves the right not to make an award in a category where, in its judgement, no entry sufficiently meets the required standard.

9. Accuracy, Verification & Disqualification

TravelPlus reserves the right to verify information supplied as part of an entry.

An entry may be rejected or disqualified if:

  • It does not meet the eligibility requirements;
  • It has been entered into an inappropriate category and does not satisfy the relevant category criteria;
  • The required entry fee has not been received;
  • Required samples or supporting information have not been supplied by the specified deadline; or
  • The entry otherwise fails to comply with these Rules of Entry.

TravelPlus reserves the right to make the final determination regarding eligibility.

10. Copyright, Photography & Permissions

By submitting an entry, the entrant confirms that it has the necessary rights and permissions to provide all photographs, text, logos, trademarks, product images and other materials supplied as part of the entry.

The entrant grants TravelPlus permission to reproduce submitted information and images for the purposes of judging, editorial coverage, publicity, promotion and marketing of the TravelPlus Airline Amenity Awards.

TravelPlus reserves the right to photograph submitted entries and associated products and to use such photography for Awards-related purposes.

Where physical samples are supplied, TravelPlus may photograph the products without further permission or payment.

11. Awards Showcase & Publication

The description submitted as part of an entry may be reproduced in the TravelPlus Awards Showcase, Awards Review, website, digital publications, social media and other Awards-related communications.

TravelPlus reserves the right to edit submitted descriptions for length, clarity, accuracy, style and editorial consistency without materially altering the substance of the information provided.

Publication does not constitute an endorsement of any factual, technical or sustainability claim made by an entrant.

Entrants remain responsible for the accuracy of claims made in their submission.

12. Award Marks & Winner Communications

Winners will be entitled to identify themselves as a TravelPlus Airline Amenity Awards Winner in accordance with the official TravelPlus brand guidelines.

Any TravelPlus award logo, seal or winner mark supplied to an entrant may only be used in connection with the product or entry that received the award and must not be altered without permission.

TravelPlus reserves the right to withdraw permission to use an Award mark where its use is misleading, inaccurate or inconsistent with the official TravelPlus brand guidelines.

13. Changes to the Awards

TravelPlus reserves the right, where circumstances require, to amend entry deadlines, categories, judging arrangements or other administrative aspects of the Awards.

Where a material change is made, TravelPlus will endeavour to communicate the change to affected entrants.

TravelPlus also reserves the right to postpone, amend or cancel the Awards programme where circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary.

14. Acceptance of the Rules

Submission of an entry constitutes acceptance of these Rules of Entry by the entrant.

By submitting an entry, the entrant confirms that:

  • The product or programme meets the relevant eligibility requirements;
  • The information supplied is accurate to the best of its knowledge;
  • It has the necessary rights and permissions for all submitted materials;
  • It accepts the provisions relating to photography and publication; and
  • It agrees to comply with these Rules of Entry.

IMPORTANT: If you are entering the same product into different Award categories, a separate entry form and entry fee must be completed for each category.
