The Seal of Passenger Approval

The Airline Amenity Awards are open to all global airlines operating both scheduled and non-scheduled services internationally or domestically, as well as organisations, suppliers, and designers of airline comfort items. Importantly, these Awards are not aligned to any Industry Association or Guild, and as such, they are a true barometer of the trends within the Onboard Hospitality Sector.

Entries are judged by focus groups, with those involved having the relative travel experience for the categories they evaluate. TravelPlus believe that using smaller judging panels of experienced travellers ensures that the Airline Amenity Awards remain fair and impartial, keeping the most important perspective at their root, that of the passenger.

Categories cover a wide range of onboard amenity kits including First and Business class, Overnight kits, Children’s Goody bags, Bedding and Sleeper Suits

The Anita Gittelson
Innovator of the Year Award

The 2023 recipient is Fernando Guevara General Manager in Supply Chain Management at Delta Air Lines in recognition for his role in partnering with Mexican apparel brand Someone Somewhere to launch a one-of-a-kind, premium amenity kit, using textiles from the traditional chicotillo loom, a craft passed down through generations. This generated jobs for over 250 people in five of Mexico's most vulnerable states, while keeping alive a centuries-old regional style of weaving. The kits credited the artisans and contained a QR code that customers could scan to send them a note.
